GNO Federal Credit Union is thrilled to announce the successful completion of our 4th Annual Trunk or Treat event, held on October 23rd at our Metairie branch. This free family-friendly event brought together our valued members and the local community for an evening filled with fun, costumes, and camaraderie.

This year, we had the honor of partnering with the Kajun Outcast Jeep Club, whose amazing members participated by decorating their vehicles and providing a safe space for children to enjoy trick-or-treating. Our employees also embraced the spirit of the season, dressing in creative costumes and adding to the festive atmosphere.

A highlight of the festivities was the exciting costume contest for the kids, where participants showcased their creativity and enthusiasm. Prizes were awarded for the best costumes, and the smiles on the children’s faces were priceless!

Adding to the excitement, Sammy the Saver, GNO FCU’s beloved kids club mascot, made a special appearance. Sammy helped promote the importance of youth savings while engaging with the children and posing for photos. The presence of Sammy reminded everyone of our commitment to fostering financial literacy among young members.

“We are so grateful for the incredible turnout and the enthusiasm of our staff, the Westbank Jeep Club, and our beloved Sammy the Saver,” said Shelley Sanders, CEO of GNO Federal Credit Union. “It’s heartwarming to see our community come together to celebrate Halloween in such a fun, safe environment. This event not only allows us to connect with our members but also strengthens our bond with the community we serve.”

Attendees enjoyed a variety of activities, including games, face painting, and, of course, trick-or-treating from the creatively decorated trunks of participating Jeep Club members and credit union staff. Children showcased their costumes, ranging from spooky to whimsical, and everyone left with smiles and plenty of candy!
