Starting April 21, 2025, federal contractors and grant recipients are prohibited from maintaining a discriminatory DEI program. If the Credit Union is a federal contractor or a federal grant recipient, there is an increased risk of an allegation that its hiring practices under a DEI program consider “race, color, sex, sexual preference, religion, or national origin in ways that violate the Nation’s civil rights laws”.
