Southwest Louisiana Credit Union (SWLACU) is living out its mission of “People Helping People.”
SWLACU employees recently organized two internal fundraisers, raising over $700 in support of recovery efforts for families impacted by the July 4th floods in Kerrville County, Texas. With a dollar-for-dollar match from the credit union, the total donation reached $1,500.
“Putting people over profit is at the heart of everything we do, and our employees embody that commitment every day,” said Makeitta Citizen, Director of Community Engagement.
The funds were directed to relief efforts through the Community Foundation of Southwest Louisiana, which helped connect the donation to trusted recovery initiatives.
