New Orleans, LA—UNO Federal Credit Union (UNOFCU) brought excitement to campus during the University of New Orleans’ (UNO) Privateer Plunge program on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, with a cash grab machine where students could grab up to $500! The event offered students a fun way to connect with UNOFCU and learn about resources available on campus.
At the event, students had the chance to spin a prize wheel for the opportunity to enter the cash grab machine, enter drawings for a Jasion Roamer Electric Bike and Saints vs. New York Giants game tickets, and enjoy a free lunch provided by the UNOFCU. The event drew strong participation and created opportunities for connection & fun!
Privateer Plunge is a six-week program at UNO, designed to help new students build a support system, learn about campus resources, and get involved in student groups and events. Incoming students are encouraged to attend at least three events as part of their UNIV 001 course requirement.
