The 2026 Washington Mardi Gras celebration once again brought together Louisiana’s finest for a weekend of networking, culture, and community spirit in our nation’s capital. The Louisiana Credit Union Association was proud to take part in this long-standing tradition that highlights the unity and influence of our state’s leaders, businesses, and organizations.

Throughout the week, Luminate representatives connected with members of Congress and their staff to discuss legislative priorities impacting credit unions and the members they serve. These conversations reinforced the vital role credit unions play in promoting financial inclusion, providing access to affordable credit, and supporting local economies across Louisiana.

In addition to legislative engagement, DC Mardi Gras served as an opportunity to strengthen relationships within the broader Louisiana delegation. Events hosted by the Mystick Krewe of Louisianans offered a unique setting for collaboration among public officials, industry leaders, and community advocates, all united by a shared commitment to advancing Louisiana.

The Luminate extends its appreciation to everyone who participated and represented the credit union movement during this important event. By maintaining a strong presence in Washington, Luminate continue to ensure that the voices of our members are heard and their values reflected in the nation’s policy discussions.
