Following its 65th Annual Meeting, OnPath Credit Union has officially installed six prominent regional leaders to its Board of Directors and Associate Board. The new appointees bring a powerful blend of economic development, regulatory compliance, risk management, and strategic growth expertise to support OnPath Credit Union’s mission of financial empowerment and service to diverse member communities.

The newly appointed leaders include:

Board of Directors

Ali Malik: A strategic executive leader with over 20 years of experience driving operational excellence and growth across large-scale, mission-driven organizations. Mr. Malik is deeply committed to advancing equitable economic opportunities for underserved populations.

Jerry Templet, Jr.: A retired federal law enforcement executive and private sector entrepreneur. Mr. Templet brings extensive regional insight and a robust network of collaborative relationships spanning local, state, and federal civic leaders.

Associate Directors

Michael Hecht: A New Orleans resident and nationally recognized leader in economic development. Serving as President and CEO of Greater New Orleans, Inc. (GNO, Inc.) since 2008, Mr. Hecht brings world-class expertise in public-private partnerships, job creation, and strategic governance.

Justin Moran: A St. Tammany community leader and federal investigative professional. Mr. Moran brings sophisticated expertise in financial compliance, Bank Secrecy Act enforcement, and fraud prevention.

Kevin Guitterrez: An education executive, governance strategist, and Jefferson Parish resident. As Founder and President of Greenfield Partners LLC, Mr. Guitterrez specializes in advising non-profit and charter school boards on organizational capacity building and strategic growth alignment.

Rod Nunez: An experienced insurance and benefits consulting executive, Mr. Nunez, brings more than a decade of expertise in corporate risk management, cost control, and long-range planning to ensure robust fiduciary oversight.

Honoring a Legacy of Leadership

In addition to the new appointments, OnPath Credit Union is proud to announce that Associate Director Louis Duet has been named Director Emeritus, effective April 2026, in honor of his 33 years of dedicated service. Mr. Duet’s legacy spans back to the very origins of the credit union when he worked at Avondale Shipyards. As part of the movement of people helping people, Mr. Duet began his deep involvement with the institution during its era as ASI Federal Credit Union, guiding it through decades of growth into the organization it is today.
