OPELOUSAS, LA – Pelican Credit Union surprised a member on Wednesday, August 5, with a brand-new 2026 Honda CR-V at Pelican’s St. Landry branch on 2508 S Union Street Opelousas, LA.
Believing she was participating in a finalist interview for the credit union’s vehicle giveaway, the member, Keyondria Thomas, arrived at the branch unaware that she had already been selected as the winner of the new vehicle.
Ms. Thomas is a single working parent. She now has a dependable vehicle that will help her get her son to and from activities, assist family members, and manage everyday responsibilities. Winning the new SUV also helps her eliminate her monthly car payment.
