We own our relationships with elected officials and meet with them regularly to ensure they know the credit union perspective when considering legislation that would affect our industry.
The 2026 Regular Legislative Session will convene at noon on Monday, March 9, 2026. Final Adjournment no later than 6:00 pm on Monday, June 1, 2026.
In order to be able to accept contributions from credit union members and professionals, your credit union must have a current signed permission agreement on file.

Awarded annually to the credit union that raised the highest dollars for each state.
$500 or more donated during a calendar year
$250 or more donated by young professionals during a calendar year
As our advocacy efforts grow, we recognize that there is a need to ensure our that our communicates are effectively delivered to the proper audience so that Louisiana credit unions can activate quickly on key issues impacting credit unions. Our Political Advocacy Program identifies one advocacy point person at each member credit union that is ready to be an Advocacy Champion for Luminate.
