Ascension Credit Union (ACU) has been honored as Business of the Year by the Donaldsonville Area Chamber of Commerce, further solidifying its role as a pillar of financial and community support in the Parish of Ascension. This recognition follows ACU’s previous acknowledgment by the Ascension Chamber of Commerce, making it the only financial institution to receive accolades from both chambers within the parish.
In addition to these prestigious awards, ACU was also voted Best Credit Union and Best Mortgage Lender in the Best of Ascension awards for the eighth consecutive year. These honors highlight the credit union’s unwavering commitment to serving its members with financial solutions tailored to their needs.
Lloyd Cockerham, President and CEO of Ascension Credit Union, emphasized the institution’s dedication to the West Bank of the Mississippi River, particularly the city of Donaldsonville. “Serving Donaldsonville is a vital part of our mission. The Business of the Year award was presented by Executive Director, Juanita Pearley Dorsey and included Danielle Lennix as Master of Ceremonies and Lee Melancon, both Donaldsonville Area Chamber board members.
