Sponsored by the Luminate Foundation, the Louisiana Credit Union Hall of Fame was established to recognize the valuable leadership, commitment, dedication, and contributions of credit union professionals and volunteers throughout the state. Those inducted have given their time, talents, and ingenuity in order to enhance and strengthen the credit union movement. Inductions take place yearly at our annual convention.

The Radiance in Marketing Awards seek to highlight marketing and business development teams that truly understand their member as they focus on outcomes. Each year we award our credit unions in four categories: Annual Report, Community Outreach, Integrated Campaign, and Social Media.

Co-sponsored by the Louisiana CU Foundation, Luminate’s Emerging Leader Program honors exceptional Louisiana credit union professionals who consistently integrate themselves into the industry through development, service, and engagement. Finalist(s) receive complimentary registration to Luminate’s convention. The overall winner will also be awarded a full scholarship to America’s Credit Unions Governmental Affairs Conference in Washington D.C.

The Enlighten Award recognizes a credit union that exemplifies the sixth cooperative principle of Cooperation Among Cooperatives. This principle emphasizes the importance of collaboration among cooperatives to effectively serve their members and strengthen the cooperative movement.

Nominations must be submitted by another credit union or organizations in the credit union movement.

The Louisiana Credit Union Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding individual whose dedication and service have made a significant impact on their credit union and community. This award honors volunteers who go above and beyond in their roles, demonstrating initiative, reliability, and a strong commitment to the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People.” Nominees should exemplify community service values, contribute innovative ideas, and showcase personal qualities such as leadership, empathy, and perseverance.

Sponsored by the Louisiana Foundation, the newly created Legends Award is designed to recognize the contributions of individuals who have significantly advanced the growth and sustainability of credit unions at both the local, state, and national levels.

Credit union professionals and volunteers who have been inducted into the Louisiana Credit Union Hall of Fame and invested more than twenty years in the movement are eligible for nomination. Nominations can include active and/or retired individuals as well as those who have passed away. Nominations can be submitted by an individual, a credit union, a chapter, or organization representing or working with credit unions.
