Lake Charles, La.— CSE Federal Credit Union (CSE) is proud to announce that five of its employees—Neilson Fagan, Gwendolyn Ballou, Angelica Aaron, Michele Chapman, and Shelby Duhon—have earned the Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation. The certification was awarded by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) following the successful completion of an intensive eight-week virtual training program and a proctored online exam.

The CUNA CCUFC Program, presented by the Louisiana Credit Union League, is an enhanced, virtual training program for credit union staff to learn skills and knowledge necessary to assist and empower members to improve their financial well-being. Financial Counselors are required to recertify every three years to ensure their knowledge remains up-to-date. A current total of 29 CSE employees hold this designation in order to serve its Membership and community.

“At CSE, we believe in empowering our team to better serve our members through knowledge, compassion, and expertise,” Matt Koch, CSE President and CEO, said. “Earning this certification reflects our continued commitment to financial wellness in our community, and I’m incredibly proud of our team members for taking this important step forward.”
