LAKE CHARLES, Louisiana — June 5, 2025 — During the CSE Federal Credit Union (CSE) 81st Annual Meeting, the CSE’s Community Foundation awarded $1,000 scholarships to four recent high school graduates to support their college or vocational education. The recipients are Jacob Ardoin, Emma Vinson, Caleb Lavine and Wyatt Harvey.
Jacob Ardoin is graduating from Strake Jesuit College Preparatory in Houston, TX where he is involved in the Key Club and Medical Club, as well as a member of the Varsity Football team and Jr. Varsity Soccer team. Jacob plans to attend St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX where he will major in Biology and eventually become an Anesthesiologist.
Emma Vinson is graduating from Westlake High School where she was on the All-Academic Team for Volleyball and Basketball and was a Calcasieu Parish School Board Student of the Year. She was also an officer in FBLA, Student Council, and Beta Club. Emma plans to major in Political Science & Government in college.
Caleb Lavine is graduating Summa Cum Laude from Sam Houston High School where he was a member of the wrestling team, receiving Academic All-State honors. Caleb plans to major in athletic training at McKendree University in Lebanon, IL this fall.
Wyatt Harvey is graduating from Sam Houston High School where he was a member of the baseball, football, basketball, track, and cross-country teams. Wyatt plans to attend McNeese State University in the fall where he will major in Mechanical Engineering.

We are excited to play a part in helping them shape a brighter tomorrow; not only for themselves, but for the communities they will inspire.”
The “Smart Future” Scholarship recipients are chosen by Scholarship Management Services based on their academic records, leadership, community involvement, work experience, and personal statements. CSE Federal Credit Union staff does not participate in the selection process.
