Instep CU is hiring Loan Collector II
Salary Range: $17.00 – $26.00 Hourly
Position Type: Full Time
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Assist the Collector in all loans collections activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collections
- Review daily reports for delinquencies and high balances aged less than 60 days for all consumer and visa loans.
- Make all written and telephone contacts necessary for collections on high balance or delinquent accounts and add notes to member accounts.*Coordinate collection activities with the collection team.
- Provide member services relating to loan payment inquiries.
- Troubleshoot member loan histories to help solve problems.
- Record collections activities in member files and keep a one-year file of delinquency reports with actions taken.
- Weekly meetings with collection team to discuss delinquency status, problem loans, and collection plans of action.
- Bi-weekly meetings with CEO and collection team for updates on collection efforts on delinquent loans assigned.
- Provide back up and support for collection team.
Other Duties
- Assist member services with telephone calls and lobby assistance as needed.
- Provide back-up coverage on the teller line as needed, including rotating Saturdays at the Branch office
- Other duties and tasks assigned by supervisor.
Loan Collector II
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
