April 24, 2026 (Lafayette, LA): Meritus Credit Union recently awarded ten local educators with $250 grants through its Class Cash program, helping educators fund creative learning projects for their classrooms. These grants will fund a variety of impactful projects including social-emotional learning tools, high-interest classroom libraries with flexible seating, sensory supports, and honor choir resources, as well as hands-on initiatives like a pollinator garden, vocabulary competitions, library incentive programs, athletic equipment, and essential classroom supplies.

Please join us in congratulating this year’s recipients:

Each year, in spring and fall grant cycles, Meritus Credit Union awards 20 grants to teachers in Acadia, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Martin, and Vermilion parishes who bring creative and meaningful learning experiences to their students. Since launching the program in 2016, Meritus CU has contributed more than $57,00 to local teachers and schools.
