Help Shape the Future of Louisiana Communities

Listening First. Learning Together. Strengthening Communities.

“The strongest solutions begin with the people we serve.”

Dear Louisiana Credit Union Leaders,

This fall, New Orleans Firemen’s Federal Credit Union is launching the Bayou to the Beach Community Listening Tour, visiting underserved and underbanked communities across Louisiana to hear directly from the people we serve.

We’ll be asking a simple question:

“What matters most to you?”

We want to understand the challenges facing families today and identify where credit unions can make the greatest difference.

We Need Your Voice

Many of you participated in this survey during the Luminate Annual Convention, and we sincerely appreciate your support.

If you were unable to participate, or if you didn’t attend the convention, we’re asking you—and your employees—to take just a few minutes to complete this brief survey by scanning the QR code below.

Why It Matters

As the Listening Tour progresses, we’ll compare what community members tell us with what credit union professionals believe are the greatest needs in those same communities.

Do our perspectives align?

If they do, we’ll know we’re focused on the right priorities. If they don’t, we’ll gain valuable insight that can help us better serve our members.

Working Together

After the Listening Tour is complete, we’ll invite credit unions in communities we weren’t able to visit to engage their own members using a separate member QR code. This will allow us to compare the perspectives of credit union professionals with those of the members they serve.

The results will be compiled into a statewide community needs map and shared with Luminate and participating Louisiana credit unions to help guide future collaboration, financial education, community partnerships, and strategic initiatives.

Together, we have an opportunity to build one of the most comprehensive community needs assessments ever conducted by Louisiana credit unions.

Thank you for lending your voice to this important effort.
