BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA— Pelican Credit Union welcomed more than 100 guests on Thursday, November 20, to celebrate the Grand Opening of its Baton Rouge at Postal Branch. The event marked Pelican’s 18th location and a major milestone following its merger with Baton Rouge Postal Credit Union earlier this year.
Jeff Conrad, Pelican Credit Union CEO, reflected on the partnership: “When we began talking about merging Baton Rouge Postal Credit Union and Pelican, I was taken aback by the similarities we shared, especially a passion for serving our members.”
The Baton Rouge at Postal Branch enhances Pelican’s ability to serve the community with expanded account access and convenient services, including free credit counseling, Video Tellers, youth accounts, and other valuable member benefits.
Guests enjoyed a ribbon cutting ceremony, lunch catered by local influencer Hymel’s Kajun Kitchen, and a raffle where one winner took home a Ninja Kitchen prize package valued at more than $750. Pelican’s Baton Rouge at Postal Branch is located at 510 North 6th St. and is open Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. To learn more about opening an account with Pelican, visit pelicancu.com/join.
