Baton Rouge, LA — Pelican Pays for good grades! Pelican Credit Union is proud to reward students for their hard work in the classroom through its long-standing Dollars for A’s initiative, a program designed to encourage strong study habits while introducing young members to smart money practices.

Pelican members with Team Pelican accounts can earn cash rewards for every A they receive on their semester-end report cards. Since 2020, Pelican has presented 12,788 awards to students across Louisiana totaling nearly $440,000 invested back into the academic success of young members statewide!

Each semester, eligible students can earn up to $70 simply by bringing their report cards to any Pelican branch or submitting them digitally through the MyPelican App, making it easy for families to participate.

“At Pelican, we believe good habits start early,” said Jeff Conrad, CEO of Pelican Credit Union. “By paying for good grades, we reward studentsstudents for their hard work while helping them understand the value of saving, earning, and making smart financial choices. This is just one of Pelican’s commitments to education, financial empowerment, community impact, and meeting members where they are by supporting them at every stage of life.”
