BATON ROUGE, La. — Pelican Credit Union has promoted Dawn Matthews to Vice President of Retail, the organization announced.
In her new role, Matthews will lead retail operations across the credit union’s branch network, along with oversight of MyBranch lending and operations systems. She will focus on strengthening frontline performance, advancing operational consistency and enhancing the member experience.
Matthews joined Pelican in 2012 as a Loan Officer at the Denham Springs branch. She has since advanced through roles in Branch Operations and Member Experience.
She has been recognized for her people-first leadership, which has strengthened teams and improved service delivery. As Vice President of Retail, Matthews will continue to build on that foundation while supporting Pelican’s strategic growth.
