In the weeks following the shocking and heartbreaking floods in central Texas, POECU members were quick to remember the way Texas communities stepped up to provide aid to the many Louisianian’s following Hurricane Katrina and wanted to do something in return. All branches collected donations and all amounts were welcome. CEO, Michelle Duhe remarked, “There is no amount too small when it comes to helping others. Whether it’s in our own community or a community far away that’s hurting and in need of help, we want to step up.” Our members donated $600 to benefit the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund to the support the ongoing recovery efforts and we are grateful for their outpouring of love.
