POECU (Post Office Employees’ Credit Union) collaborated with the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Benilde’s Catholic Church to provide Thanksgiving meals to 43 local families. The parish’s St. Vincent de Paul Society assists families their church parish lines, but throughout various nearby neighborhoods in Metairie. The schoolchildren collected the non-perishable food items that were distributed and POECU provided $50 gift cards for the turkeys and various fresh food items needed to make their Thanksgiving special.
