Our goal in 2025 is to collect as many member impact stories to aid us in our advocacy efforts. Credit unions play a critical role in supporting their communities, and their proactive advocacy efforts are essential to preserving their tax status. By sharing real member stories—like helping families during disasters, assisting veterans in starting businesses, or providing financial solutions for those in need—credit unions demonstrate their unique “people helping people” philosophy. These impactful stories resonate with lawmakers and highlight why protecting the credit union tax status benefits consumers. Credit unions are encouraged to collect and share stories that showcase their community impact to support advocacy efforts.
After submitting your story below, you will be contacted by our communications department to submit the media release from the member as well as a picture of the member. We also encourage submitting a video of the member if you have it.
