NEW ORLEANS, La, September 2026— UNO Federal Credit Union welcomed LSU New Orleans students to Money Moves at UNOFCU, an exciting Privateer Plunge event that combined financial wellness, prizes, and campus engagement.
Designed for first-year and transfer students participating in LSU New Orleans’ Privateer Plunge, a program that helps new students connect with campus life and resources, the event featured UNOFCU’s signature cash grab machine, where students spun a prize wheel for a chance to grab as much cash as they could before time ran out.
In addition to the cash grab experience, students enjoyed complimentary lunch, participated in interactive financial literacy activities, and entered to win grand prizes, including New Orleans Saints tickets and an electric scooter.
“I was so excited to win the e-scooter at UNOFCU’s Money Moves event during Privateer Plunge,” said Ja’Mya Desilva, a student at LSU New Orleans. “It’s such a thoughtful prize, and it’s going to make getting around campus so much easier and more fun. I can’t wait to feel the breeze in the NOLA heat.”
