SUMMARY:YPN Conference
DESCRIPTION:Luminate’s 14th Annual Young Professionals Conference will take place on Wednesday\, May 13\, with registration starting at 9:00 AM and lasting until Thursday\, May 14\, at 12 PM. \nThe conference will focus on empowering young professionals in the credit union movement through engaging discussions and networking opportunities. We aim to connect young professionals with established leaders\, help them understand the challenges faced by members\, and encourage collaboration that fosters long-term success in the credit union industry. \nProgram Includes:\nUNBREAKABLE: Cultivating Influence with Confidence – Tamra Gaines \nConfidence is more than self-belief; it’s the currency of leadership. In environments where decisions are scrutinized and trust is earned\, confidence shapes how leaders communicate and show up. This session examines the critical link between confidence and influence highlighting why leaders who develop both are better equipped to lead and adapt. Participants will explore how to strengthen leadership confidence to build trust and credibility\, leverage core values\, and self-awareness to lead with clarity\, and expand influence through effective communication and presence. \nFrom Burnout to Boundaries: Talk | Time | Taking Control – Tamra Gaines \nHigh-performing leaders often face burnout due to constant demands and lack of time management skills. This session provides practical strategies for emerging and established leaders to take control of their time and energy without losing credibility. Participants will learn how to reframe productivity by aligning priorities and outcomes\, lead stronger conversations by setting clear expectations\, and establish lasting boundaries with peers and teams. \nLiving Outside the Lines – Angela Melle \nFrom the time we’re young\, we’re taught to color inside the lines. Follow the rules\, check the boxes\, and pursue the milestones society tells us define success. But what happens when you’ve done all the “right” things and still feel called to something bigger? This session will challenge attendees to rethink what’s possible when we stop coloring inside the lines and start creating a life that’s truly our own. \nAdditional program highlights include: \n\nDiscussion from Luminate’s Advocacy Team\nReverse Crasher Panel Discussions\nRound Tables by Chapter\nHands-On\, Interactive Group Activities\nYPN Member of the Year Presentation\nNetworking Reception at Top Golf\n\nReverse Crasher Program\nThe YPN will once again launch the Reverse Crasher Program\, open to all seasoned credit union employees and volunteers aged 41 and older.
