DESCRIPTION:Join us for a 2-day immersive experience with the credit unions of Puerto Rico. As Luminate explores how numerous cooperatives in Puerto Rico function as an agent for change\, we will also discover resources and programs available to allow you to be the same catalyst for change in your own community. \nHighlighted programs will feature: \n\nCDFI cooperatives\nInitiatives to address affordable house\nCollaborative efforts for disaster relief\nPrograms that promote small business lending\nAnd so much more!\n\nOn-site credit union visits will begin in the mornings and last throughout the day on Wednesday & Thursday. Transportation will be provided\, making the transition from one credit union to another simple. \n\nWednesday: Discover how cooperatives in and nearby San Juan continue to innovate how they serve members and their communities.\nThursday: Hop aboard to venture to a more rural area of Puerto Rico\, Corozal. Here\, we’ll uncover resilient cooperatives and learn how they’ve partnered with government and non-governmental organizations to serve as a cornerstone for community development.\n\nOur immersive time in Puerto Rico will be capped with local artist performances at the local theater in Corozal on Thursday evening. \nRecommended Travel Days\nTo fully experience the cooperatives in Puerto Rico we suggest that you fly in on Tuesday\, February 18 and fly out on Friday\, February 21. \nEducational Investment\n$450 per attendee to attend the visits on Wednesday & Thursday. \nHotel\nHyatt Place | San Juan \n$334 per night\, inclusive of taxes and fees \n\nRoom rate is based on single or double occupancy.
